KNN Excavation has an objective to carry out sustainable processes and protect the environment. We intend to demonstrate leadership and forward thinking in our approach to environmental management through efficient and effective use of resources by continually improve our regimentation of activities that could create pollution, hazardous and environmental risks associated.
We will identify and accomplish these objectives by implementing and carrying out appropriate responses to environmental legislation and find opportunities that go beyond those requirements. This will guide our attempt to:
- Commit KNN Excavation to comply with the Environmental Protection Act 1970 and other relevant legislation.
- Minimise any adverse effect KNN Excavation has on the environment by implementing sustainable construction practices and procedures.
- Prevent pollution of air, land and water.
- Encourage our staff to contribute, co-operate and participate in all environment related matters.
- Providing training and information to staff and clients to allow them to perform their tasks with minimal environmental effect.
- Take sensible and responsible pre-cautions to identify, assess and control risks to the environment.
- Provide, maintain and consistently update procedures and work practices that are consistent with best industry standards for good environmental management.
- Provide suitable resources to implement and maintain our Environmental Management System.
- Consistently review and monitor targets and actions.
- Continually improve our ability to protect the environment from the possible consequences of our business activities.
- Maintain a comprehensive and up to date system to ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System
